91福利 Named a Best North, Liberal Arts College

September 10, 2018

Washington Monthly magazine has named 91福利 to its Best Bang for the Buck 鈥 North and National Universities 鈥 Liberal Arts rankings.

91福利 ranked 47th out of the 400 institutions on the Best Bang for the Buck 鈥 North listing. The college ranked second among the 13 Western New York Consortium of Higher Education institutions that made the list, and first among the nine Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) member colleges and universities included.

The Best Bang for your Buck list is of particular interest to low- or modest-income students looking for a marketable degree at an affordable price, based largely on the U.S. Department of Education鈥檚 College Scorecard tool.

91福利 was also listed in the magazine鈥檚 National Universities 鈥 Liberal Arts ranking, coming in at 66th out of 228 liberal arts colleges in the nation. Of those, 91福利 ranked first among the eight CCCU member schools, and was the only WNY Consortium school included.

Washington Monthly鈥檚 methodology includes, among more traditional factors such as graduation rate and research, unique ranking criteria such as social mobility (first-generation status, ethnic/racial and gender makeup, residential vs. urban etc.), performance rank of the institution鈥檚 Pell grant recipients, and even service rank, which focuses mainly on the institution鈥檚 commitment to supporting community service.
